Power Over Dementia Virtual Classes
We are a welcoming community of people who understand dementia and the challenges that come with it. Our experienced coaches are here to help you maintain your cognitive and physical abilities for as long as possible—through safe, supportive exercise and meaningful connection.
POD Fitness Virtual Classes are designed for families living with MCI or early to mid-stage dementia.

-
Small groups, meeting twice a week via Zoom
-
A balanced mix of flexibility, cardio, and strength exercises
Dementia‑Knowledgeable Coaches
Classes are led by instructors with training in dementia and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Exercises can be adapted to meet individual physical abilities and pre‑existing conditions, so everyone can participate safely and confidently.
Thoughtfully Formed Classes
Just like our in-person program, virtual exercise classes are designed to accommodate both the person living with dementia/MCI (brain change) and a care partner. To foster connection, athletes and care partners are assigned to a consistent class with others who share similar circumstances whenever possible. Matching may be based on factors such as location, age, type or stage of dementia, or other relevant similarities. With assigned classes you will see familiar faces each week and connect with people who understand your journey. Exercise takes effort, but it’s more meaningful and enjoyable when you’re surrounded by a supportive community.
